Michael Jackson died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication after suffering cardiac arrest. His personal physician, Conrad Murray, was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2011. He was found guilty and served a 2 year prison sentence. Michael Jackson's death shocked the nation. After his death, he became the best-selling album artist of all time.
